We Did It Right

This weekend was all about celebrating our youngest turning 8

And we did it right.

• Boba Friday with treats

• Friends sleeping over

• A swim party Saturday (with cake pops + dinner at her pick )

• And sushi Sunday to wrap it all up

Every year, I make them a banner in the theme they choose—with their beautiful little faces all over it—and honestly, I love any excuse to make people feel special and celebrated.

At one point she said,

“I feel like we’re celebrating me so much!”

And I smiled and said,

“Yes… because we’re so glad we get to have you in our lives.”

And that right there?

That’s what this is all about.

Because while all of this was happening…

Life didn’t pause.

There were still messages, planning, responsibilities, the mental load…

and being interrupted approximately 2348973409872309487 times a day

But THIS is the rhythm.

The juggling.

The choosing.

The being present while still holding everything else together.

This is also exactly what I bring into my spaces.
