Find A Rhythm That Actually Works For You

Find A Rhythm That Actually Works For You

I talk about rhythms because fluctuation is normal.

We have a general routine around here.
I write it in my planner.
I map things out.
And then… life happens.
Lessons shift.
Client work expands or contracts.
Appointments move.
Activities change.
Illnesses sneak in without an invite.
That doesn’t mean the system failed.
It means the system is alive.
When you learn to move with it instead of fighting it, you start to find a rhythm that actually works for you.
An unexpected hour opens up?
Great — read a chapter, rest, catch up, breathe.
A last-minute request pops up?
You get to decide if you have the space for it.
That’s the beauty of rhythm — it gives you choice.
This past week was a perfect example:
A lesson cancellation created breathing room.
An extra task popped up that I was able to grab.
I noticed a few shifts my business is asking for — and stayed open instead of resistant.
I love a good system.
I love plans and schedules and structure.
And I also love leaving wiggle room for life to happen.
Because rhythm isn’t about control.
It’s about responsiveness.
As you head into a new week, my reminder for you is this:
You’re not behind if things shift.
You’re adaptable.
And that’s a strength.

How do you see vulnerability: strength or weakness? The view on being vulnerable has been taking a bit of a turn lately, from what I’ve seen.

Where it used to be commonplace to “suck it up” or not overshare, we are realizing the impact of those decisions.

While I admittedly have a sign that says “suck it up, buttercup” on my bookshelf, I try to convey the importance of voicing your opinion and feelings in this house. Consequences are part of the “suck it up” portion in my eyes.
