Today, we’re chatting about something close to my heart: how to embrace your traits.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my own business and personal journey, and I realized how vital it is to own who you are. I believe our traits shape how we approach life and business, and embracing them can be a powerful thing.

I want to kick off with a quote I found by Tripp Adler:

“I think the most important trait for an entrepreneur is persistence. When you try to do something new and difficult, you are more likely to fail than to succeed.”

This resonates with me deeply. I’ve often been told I’m tenacious (which is a nice way of saying stubborn, right?). And it’s true. I’ve learned that persistence isn’t just about pushing through hard times—it’s about learning, growing, and moving forward no matter the setbacks. Whether in business, motherhood, or life in general, that tenacity is key.

Let’s be honest, as moms, we’re often faced with the same challenges repeatedly. Whether it’s juggling kids’ moods or the endless to-do lists, persistence is what keeps us moving forward. It’s a vital life skill that applies in so many areas, especially in entrepreneurship.

Now, let’s talk about traits. Words have power, and how we interpret them matters. Often, we focus on the negative connotations of our traits instead of embracing the positives. But what if we shifted that mindset?

For example, I’ve been told my whole life that I’m stubborn. But instead of seeing it as a flaw, I’ve chosen to see it as a strength. Being stubborn means I’m determined and committed to my goals. Sure, sometimes it’s a bit much, but it also helps me stay true to myself, while still being open to others’ ideas. It’s about filtering the feedback and seeing if it fits within my vision—if it does, great! If not, I stick to what I believe is best.

So today, I encourage you to embrace your traits—whether it’s adaptability, being colorful, supportive, or even stubborn. These qualities make you unique, and they can be a huge asset in your business. People don’t just hire you for your services—they hire you for you. Your personality, your traits, and how you bring those to the table. It’s what sets you apart!

Here are some traits I personally relate to:

  • Stubborn (persistent!)
  • Adaptable
  • Supportive
  • Colorful
  • Inclusive

These are the traits I’ve embraced in my business, and I believe they help me show up authentically. If you’re thinking about your own traits, I challenge you to reflect on them and figure out how they shape your work and your life.

Finally, I’d love to hear from you! What are your top three traits? Drop them in the comments, and let’s chat about how they make you the amazing person you are. And if you’re looking for a community that can help you grow, I’d love to have you in the Mom Elevated Society. It’s a space to reflect, grow, and push forward—together.

Remember, persistence is key, and no matter the challenges, you can always rise above. Let’s keep growing, learning, and embracing our unique selves.

Until next time, thanks for hanging out with me!
