You Don’t Need Permission To Slow Down

You Don’t Need Permission To Slow Down

You don’t need permission to slow down.

You need intention.
Downtime doesn’t magically appear.
It has to be protected, planned, and respected.
And here’s the truth most overachieving moms struggle with:
Work will always be there.
You don’t earn rest by finishing everything.
You schedule rest because it makes everything else work better.
Slowing down doesn’t mean quitting.
It means choosing sustainability over survival.
Inside the Needs vs Wants Training, we’ll break down:
• How to identify false urgency
• How to build flexibility into your day
• How to stop living like every decision is a crisis
Harmony isn’t accidental.
It’s designed.
And you’re allowed to design it on purpose.

To help you navigate business growth YOUR WAY, the Your Steady Ground Masterclass leads you with videos and workbooks.

Permission Granted: Let Yourself Be Human, Mama

Permission Granted: Let Yourself Be Human, Mama

Whether you need it or not right now, consider this permission granted: let yourself be human, mama!

Motherhood is beautiful, but let’s be honest—it’s also exhausting, overwhelming, and sometimes downright lonely.

Whether you’re raising little humans full-time, balancing a side hustle, or running a full-blown business, the pressure can be a lot. But here’s the thing: you don’t need to do it all perfectly. In fact, you have full permission not to.

That’s right—consider this your official permission slip to feel your feelings, do the bare minimum when needed, and simply be. Because you’re not alone, and you’re not broken—you’re human.

Let’s dive into how to embrace that humanity, reclaim your peace, and keep shining your light in the middle of the chaos.

  1. Feel Your Feelings—No Guilt Attached

Crying? Screaming into a pillow? Needing to be alone in the car for five extra minutes? It’s okay. Suppressing your emotions only builds up pressure until you boil over.

Pick one healthy outlet and commit to it this week:

  • Cry (yes, actually let it out)
  • Journal for five minutes
  • Vent to a friend or coach
  • Color with your kids or by yourself
  1. Do the Minimum—and Be Proud of That

Sometimes survival mode is necessary. When the to-do list feels crushing, it’s okay to say, “What’s the bare minimum I can do today and still feel okay?”

Make a “minimum viable day” list:

  • Feed the kids
  • Keep everyone safe
  • Rest if possible
    Everything else? It can wait.
  1. Release the Fear of Judgment

We often worry about how others perceive our reactions, our messes, or our meltdowns. But judgment doesn’t pay your bills or raise your kids. Let it go.

Write down one fear or insecurity you’ve been carrying. Now, flip the script: What would you tell a friend in the same situation? Tell that to yourself.

  1. Surround Yourself with Real Support

Having a solid village is everything. Whether it’s a friend who gets it, a coach who helps you see clearly, or a community that lifts you up—don’t isolate yourself.

Join a support group (like Mom Elevated Society) or reconnect with one person who understands your world.

  1. Let Your Light Shine

By showing up as your full, imperfect self, you give others permission to do the same. Your authenticity isn’t weakness—it’s leadership.

Quote to Remember:

“As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence actually liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

Be honest about your struggles this week—with your partner, your kids, your social media. Watch how it inspires others to be real too.

You’re Doing Great—Permission Still Granted

If no one has told you lately: you are doing an incredible job. Whether you’re thriving or surviving today, you are worthy, and you are enough. Keep going—but only if you’ve had that cry, that breath of fresh air, or that dance party first.

If you need support, tools, or just a reminder that you’re not alone, join us in the Mom Elevated Society or hop into our free group. You’ve got a village here—cape, yoga pants, messy bun, and all.
