From Chaos to Calm: Why We Need Both the Busy and the Break

From Chaos to Calm: Why We Need Both the Busy and the Break

Some days are filled to the brim, some filled with rest — both are needed.

Saturday, we did allllmmmoooossstttt nothing. Basically. We’ve had a FULL couple of weeks, so we needed the sleeping in and rest.
Sunday is grocery shopping, laundry catch-up, other cleaning, cut nails, showers, and resetting for the week.
We finished up some cleaning, did some school, went to a Science of Magic Show during the day, made some calls, paid some bills, and a Magic Show (missed dance to see it) in the evening. Also made some banana bread.
The ebbs and flows are worrrrttthhhh it all, though. I love the quiet moments together along with the chaos that whirls us around.
Poll: Which are you craving right now?
Go-go energy ⚡️
Rest and recharge 🌙

💜 Giving back in ways that matter
No shame if your goals are bigger—or smaller! It’s about knowing the lifestyle you want and creating a business that supports that.

How You Show Up

How You Show Up

✨ Sometimes your superpower isn’t what you do — it’s how you show up.✨
A friend told me recently:
“You’re the best cheerleader.”
And honestly? I think that’s true. 💜
Whether it’s spinning something positively (rah rah sisboombah 🙌) or being “aggressively angry” on your behalf when needed 🤣 … I’ve realized that’s part of what makes me a great mentor and support system.
Because sometimes, what you need most isn’t more tasks or strategies — it’s someone reminding you that you’ve got this, even when you don’t feel like it.
That’s the energy I bring into the Mom Elevated Society + 1:1 mentorship.
If you’re ready for a cheerleader in your corner (with a side of tough love when needed 😉), let’s talk.

Being “wild” doesn’t mean out of control… it means embracing your energy, your creativity, your messy middle, and your freedom to grow in your own way. 💜
Here’s to a September full of wonderful wildness.
What’s one “wild” (or unexpected) moment you’ve loved lately?

You Can’t Shield Them From Every “Ouch” — But You Can Walk Through It Together

You Can’t Shield Them From Every “Ouch” — But You Can Walk Through It Together

As moms, we want to protect our kids from every scraped knee, hurt feeling, and broken heart. But the truth is — we can’t.

What we can do is:

  • Be there to listen when they need to process.

  • Give them tools to navigate tough emotions.

  • Remind them they are not alone.

It’s the same in business.

No matter how much we plan or prepare, there will be challenges. The client who walks away, the launch that doesn’t go as expected, the juggling act that leaves you drained. You can’t avoid every “ouch” moment, but you can choose how to move through it — and who you have by your side.

That’s where support matters. That’s where connection matters. That’s where you matter.

Actionable Steps to Move Through the “Ouch” Moments

  1. Pause and Acknowledge
Instead of pushing past the setback, take a moment to name what happened and how you feel about it. Just like you’d validate your child’s emotions, validate your own.

  2. Find the Lesson
Every bump carries wisdom. Ask yourself: What can I learn from this? What can I adjust moving forward?

  3. Lean on Support
Just as your kids lean on you, you deserve someone in your corner. Whether it’s a mentor, a community, or both, don’t walk through the tough spots alone.

  4. Reframe the Narrative
Shift from “I failed” to “This is part of the process.” Growth in motherhood and business both come with challenges — and reframing helps you keep perspective.

  5. Take the Next Small Step
Momentum builds from action. Choose one small step that feels doable and let it carry you forward.

The Heart of Mom Elevated

That’s what the Mom Elevated Society and 1:1 Mentorship are all about — walking with you through the tough spots, giving you tools to navigate, and reminding you of your strength.

Because while we can’t protect ourselves (or our kids) from every “ouch,” we can move through them with clarity, calm, and confidence — together.

To help you navigate business growth YOUR WAY, the Your Steady Ground Masterclass leads you with videos and workbooks.

Release the Guilt: Why Accepting Help is a Strength, Not a Weakness

Release the Guilt: Why Accepting Help is a Strength, Not a Weakness

“I always feel guilty… but you’re right.”

That was part of a recent conversation I had where I reminded a fellow mom that saying yes to help isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.

And if you’ve ever carried that same guilt when someone offers support, you’re not alone.

Here’s the truth:
💡 Activities, lessons, and opportunities for our kids aren’t cheap.
💡 Saying yes to support means saying yes to less stress.
💡 Generosity given is meant to be received — without guilt.

This perspective shift is something we actively work on inside the Mom Elevated Society and in 1:1 mentorships. Because here’s the thing: when you learn to release guilt, you open the door to peace, balance, and even more opportunities for your family.

Actionable Steps to Let Go of the Guilt

1. Reframe What Help Really Means

Instead of seeing help as a sign of weakness, remind yourself that accepting support is actually a strategy. It gives you more energy to pour into the things that matter most.

Action: Next time someone offers help, pause and ask: “What will accepting this gift allow me to do?”

2. Recognize Your Own Needs and Worth

You cannot give from an empty cup. You’re allowed to have needs, and your well-being is just as valuable as anyone else’s in your family.

Action: Write down one thing you need right now — whether that’s time, rest, or resources — and brainstorm two ways you could receive support for it.

3. Practice Receiving Without Apology

When someone extends generosity, they’re choosing to bless you. Receiving it with gratitude (and without guilt) allows both of you to experience joy.

Action: The next time you say “yes” to help, practice responding with a simple: “Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.” No explanations, no guilt.

4. Create Systems That Lighten Your Load

Help doesn’t always come from other people — sometimes it comes from systems and routines that make life flow more smoothly.

Action: Identify one task you can automate, delegate, or simplify this week. (For example: setting up grocery delivery, creating a weekly meal plan, or using a family chore chart.)

The Bottom Line

Whether it’s accepting a blessing from someone else or building systems that give you breathing room, remember this: you don’t have to do it all alone.

Your business and your life can feel lighter — and still move forward.

💜 If you’re ready to release the guilt and create a life that feels more supported, I’d love to work with you.
