My definition of freedom may not be the way you define freedom.
What does freedom look like to you?
For me, it means:

🧋Taking the oldest to get boba and try out a new place for lunch.
🧋Having the same days off that the kids do or accommodating their early release days
🧋Working on a Saturday or a Sunday if I so choose (and taking off the middle of the week if desired)
🧋Being able to take the kids to and pick them up from school, take them to activities and appointments, and not sacrifice the work I provide or the income I bring to the table.
What would more boba and accommodations (without sacrificing integrity and growth) mean for you.

🍦My schedule is as flexible or inflexible as I want or need it to be
🍦Vacation was possible last year and already scheduled some this year

When running, building, and growing your business, you invest with expectations. It’s not just financial ROI that you should pay attention to, though.
Not every result is going to be financial.
Hear me out.

I have invested in coaches for years now. While I have grown in my income, there have been many times that the personal development and growth in myself and my capabilities have been a MUCH higher return on my investment (ROI) than the increase in cash flow.
Honestly, I’ve over 10x my income (I started making $300 a month very enthusiastically).
But being able to figure out what I want from my business, what I enjoy doing, how to set (and keep) boundaries, and really owning a leadership role… and discovering my zone has been the biggest part of the journey.
A bonus has been helping other mamas and business owners throughout that path.
If I went into each investment with the goal being solely to make more money, I likely wouldn’t have signed on 90% of those dotted lines.
Here’s your reminder that growth WILL give you results, but they’re not always instantaneous and they’re not always financial first and foremost.

You’ve heard KISS before, but this is my version: Keep It Simple Sister.
Sometimes to make things simpler, you have to take a moment to sit in the complexities first.
By that, I simply mean you have to put your standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in place to help streamline processes.

Honestly, this fits both with mom-life in general and entrepreneurial life.
An SOP provides step-by-step instructions on how you do a task.
What this does is allow you to jog your memory when you are in the throes of things and need to quickly accomplish a task OR to hand it off to someone without having to “teach” them every detail. You’re basically handing them a silver platter and giving them a leg up to exceeding your expectations.
So, while it may seem “busier” at the forefront of setting up all those systems, once you have them in place, you are able to truuullllyyyy bask in the glory of simplifying your life to almost run itself (wouldn’t that be nice??).
