“You look tired.”
That’s what my mom said after we arrived in Salt Lake City following an eight-hour drive.
“…Thank you?”

Because…
Of course I looked tired.
Before we’d even left, I had:

packed for myself and the kids

organized snacks

made sure our son had his wallet and permit so he could drive

prepared everything for the pet sitter

cleaned the house enough to come home to peace

made sure the girls had their spending money

wrapped up work

planned everything so we could actually unplug
But do you know what I wasn’t?
Because all that preparation bought me something far more valuable than extra energy.
The ability to enjoy the trip instead of mentally carrying a thousand unfinished tasks with me.
The planning isn’t the goal.

The vacation is.

The memories are.

The laughter is.

The freedom to sit at dinner without wondering what you forgot is.
That’s the transformation I want for every woman I work with.

Apr 6, 2026 | Business, Look, Magic, Mompreneur
“Look at all the magic around you.”
That’s what my April planner page says.
I LOVE holidays… and Easter is no exception. The baskets, the little surprises, the chance to make things feel just a little more special.
One of my students said something this week that stuck with me:
“I love that you get us a treat or something for every holiday just because. It’s so cute!”
I don’t just love making the holidays magical for my own kiddos…
I love creating those little moments for others too.
Because magic doesn’t have to be big.
It’s often in the small, thoughtful things.
This week was full in its own way:

Writing up and sending two new contracts

Creating Tavie’s birthday banner

Finishing another book (and starting another

)

Setting up events

Getting tickets for the upcoming dance recital
And all the behind-the-scenes life and business pieces in between.
But woven through all of that?

Laughter.

Hugs.

Little wins.

And working through some tougher mental moments (for all of us at different times this week).
Because not every moment feels magical while you’re in it.
That’s where you realize:
Not perfection.
But the full, real, beautifully layered life you’re building.
And I feel really grateful for it.
