I Know What It Feels Like To Go-Go-Go

I Know What It Feels Like To Go-Go-Go

I know what it feels like to go-go-go.

At one point in college, I was working six jobs while carrying 36 credit hours.
I could push.
I could perform.
I could outwork almost anyone.
But when I started having kids, something shifted. Not just my energy — my desire.
I still love full days.
I love productivity.
I love momentum.
But I also deeply love days where I can sit and read for hours.
Work on a puzzle.
Play board games with the kids.
Watch movies.
Let my brain breathe.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
When I push nonstop, my work suffers.
When I rest intentionally, my work sharpens.
Those slower days aren’t laziness.
They’re neurological resets.
They allow my brain to recharge.
They restore creativity.
They make my decisions clearer.
Rest doesn’t steal momentum. It fuels it.
Now, instead of waiting until I’m exhausted to rest, I build it into most days — even if it’s small.
Because the version of me who pauses?
She produces better work than the version who forces it.
Momentum built on depletion doesn’t last.
Momentum built on restoration does.

You Don’t Need Permission To Slow Down

You Don’t Need Permission To Slow Down

You don’t need permission to slow down.

You need intention.
Downtime doesn’t magically appear.
It has to be protected, planned, and respected.
And here’s the truth most overachieving moms struggle with:
Work will always be there.
You don’t earn rest by finishing everything.
You schedule rest because it makes everything else work better.
Slowing down doesn’t mean quitting.
It means choosing sustainability over survival.
Inside the Needs vs Wants Training, we’ll break down:
• How to identify false urgency
• How to build flexibility into your day
• How to stop living like every decision is a crisis
Harmony isn’t accidental.
It’s designed.
And you’re allowed to design it on purpose.

Find A Rhythm That Actually Works For You

Find A Rhythm That Actually Works For You

I talk about rhythms because fluctuation is normal.

We have a general routine around here.
I write it in my planner.
I map things out.
And then… life happens.
Lessons shift.
Client work expands or contracts.
Appointments move.
Activities change.
Illnesses sneak in without an invite.
That doesn’t mean the system failed.
It means the system is alive.
When you learn to move with it instead of fighting it, you start to find a rhythm that actually works for you.
An unexpected hour opens up?
Great — read a chapter, rest, catch up, breathe.
A last-minute request pops up?
You get to decide if you have the space for it.
That’s the beauty of rhythm — it gives you choice.
This past week was a perfect example:
A lesson cancellation created breathing room.
An extra task popped up that I was able to grab.
I noticed a few shifts my business is asking for — and stayed open instead of resistant.
I love a good system.
I love plans and schedules and structure.
And I also love leaving wiggle room for life to happen.
Because rhythm isn’t about control.
It’s about responsiveness.
As you head into a new week, my reminder for you is this:
You’re not behind if things shift.
You’re adaptable.
And that’s a strength.

When Your Energy is Depleted

When Your Energy is Depleted

One of the biggest mistakes I see moms make in January?

Trying to fix time…
without fixing energy.
You don’t need more hours.
You need better capacity.
When your energy is depleted:
• planning feels heavy
• productivity drops
• even “free time” doesn’t feel restorative
January doesn’t require a tighter schedule — it asks for steadier energy.
Start there.
Protect it.
Everything else works better when you do.

My Word For The Year Is Grounded

My Word For The Year Is Grounded

My word for the year is Grounded.

With a quiet undertone of Steady.
Not rushed.
Not frantic.
Not trying to leap ahead before my feet are firmly planted.
Grounded feels like:
• clarity without pressure
• movement without chaos
• growth that’s sustainable
• presence in the process
Steady reminds me that consistency doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful.
This year isn’t about doing more.
It’s about moving forward with intention, rooted in what matters.
What’s your word — or the feeling you want to carry into this year?

Make Life Look Like A Highlight Reel

Make Life Look Like A Highlight Reel

In case I ever make life look like a highlight reel… here’s a moment from this week.

I had to drive a couple of hours away (and back — in one day) to take care of some family tisky-tasks.
Somewhere along the drive, our youngest fell asleep… and then woke up violently ill with zero warning. We weren’t even halfway to our destination.
Emergency lights on.
Pulled over.
Cleaned up as best we could on the side of the road.
Once we finally arrived, we made a beeline for Walmart:
✔️ brand-new outfit head to toe
✔️ $2 travel shampoo & conditioner
✔️ travel toothpaste & toothbrush
✔️ word search books for the kids (because that checkout line felt endless)
Then into the restroom to wash hair and teeth in the sink, get her cleaned up, and rally.
I also had to decline a couple of work tasks that day — knowing it was already going to be long (and wildly underestimating how long). But it worked out.
We still got to visit.
We had lunch together.
Ran the necessary errands.
Made it home in time to heat up leftovers, finish a couple of work tasks, and snuggle before bed.
It wasn’t smooth.
It wasn’t planned.
But it was real — and it was okay.
This is your reminder that flexibility counts as competence, too.
And just like the day didn’t need fixing, GIFT Yourself GRACE isn’t about fixing yourself.
It’s about reconnecting with yourself.
Gratitude grounds you.
Integrity guides you.
Together, they change how the rest of the year unfolds.
