Embracing the Journey: Mom Life, Business, and Everything in Between

Embracing the Journey: Mom Life, Business, and Everything in Between

Whether you’re a mom, an entrepreneur, or both, I know the journey can be full of ups and downs. What often helps is embracing the journey.

Today, I want to share a little about my life, my family, and the amazing community we’ve built together. (P.S. I’m always happy to answer any questions you have about motherhood, business, or anything in between.)

Finding Harmony in a Busy Life

Life as a mompreneur is never dull. This past week has been a whirlwind, but also filled with great moments—especially with my husband home. Juggling family time and business responsibilities isn’t always easy, but it’s important to prioritize what truly matters. One thing I’ve learned is that embracing flexibility and allowing yourself grace can make all the difference.

The Mom Elevated Community: A Village for Moms

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Jessie Halvorsen, and I’ve created a supportive space for moms through Mom Elevated. A community where mom entrepreneurs can create space in their schedule and find harmony—all while juggling motherhood, business, and personal growth. Through my free Facebook group and the Mom Elevated Society membership, I offer resources, support, and encouragement to help moms navigate both their personal and professional lives. If you’re looking for a positive, uplifting community, I’d love for you to join us!

A Quote to Carry You Through

Today’s quote is one of my favorites:
“When it rains, look for rainbows. When it’s dark, look for stars.” – Oscar Wilde
Life throws challenges our way, but there’s always something to appreciate, even in tough times. If you’re struggling, remember that brighter days are ahead.

The Unique Journey of Motherhood

As a mom of three, I’ve come to realize just how unique each child is. My oldest is a perfectionist and loves control, my middle child is laid-back but growing into her independence while maintaining a beautiful sensitivity, and my youngest is a wild spirit who insists on doing everything on her own and taking care of everyone. Each of them brings their own challenges and rewards, reminding me that parenting is never a one-size-fits-all journey.

I’d love to hear about your experiences! How are your kids different from one another? What challenges have you faced, and what lessons have they taught you?

Join the Conversation

I love connecting with other moms and business owners, so don’t hesitate to drop a comment or reach out. If you have any questions about motherhood, business, or anything in between, I’m here to guide the way! You can also join my free group, check out the Mom Elevated Society, or hop on my email list to stay updated.

Parenthood and entrepreneurship can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Let’s build each other up and create a space where we can thrive together.

Embrace Your Traits in Life and Business

Embrace Your Traits in Life and Business

Today, we’re chatting about something close to my heart: how to embrace your traits.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my own business and personal journey, and I realized how vital it is to own who you are. I believe our traits shape how we approach life and business, and embracing them can be a powerful thing.

I want to kick off with a quote I found by Tripp Adler:

“I think the most important trait for an entrepreneur is persistence. When you try to do something new and difficult, you are more likely to fail than to succeed.”

This resonates with me deeply. I’ve often been told I’m tenacious (which is a nice way of saying stubborn, right?). And it’s true. I’ve learned that persistence isn’t just about pushing through hard times—it’s about learning, growing, and moving forward no matter the setbacks. Whether in business, motherhood, or life in general, that tenacity is key.

Let’s be honest, as moms, we’re often faced with the same challenges repeatedly. Whether it’s juggling kids’ moods or the endless to-do lists, persistence is what keeps us moving forward. It’s a vital life skill that applies in so many areas, especially in entrepreneurship.

Now, let’s talk about traits. Words have power, and how we interpret them matters. Often, we focus on the negative connotations of our traits instead of embracing the positives. But what if we shifted that mindset?

For example, I’ve been told my whole life that I’m stubborn. But instead of seeing it as a flaw, I’ve chosen to see it as a strength. Being stubborn means I’m determined and committed to my goals. Sure, sometimes it’s a bit much, but it also helps me stay true to myself, while still being open to others’ ideas. It’s about filtering the feedback and seeing if it fits within my vision—if it does, great! If not, I stick to what I believe is best.

So today, I encourage you to embrace your traits—whether it’s adaptability, being colorful, supportive, or even stubborn. These qualities make you unique, and they can be a huge asset in your business. People don’t just hire you for your services—they hire you for you. Your personality, your traits, and how you bring those to the table. It’s what sets you apart!

Here are some traits I personally relate to:

  • Stubborn (persistent!)
  • Adaptable
  • Supportive
  • Colorful
  • Inclusive

These are the traits I’ve embraced in my business, and I believe they help me show up authentically. If you’re thinking about your own traits, I challenge you to reflect on them and figure out how they shape your work and your life.

Finally, I’d love to hear from you! What are your top three traits? Drop them in the comments, and let’s chat about how they make you the amazing person you are. And if you’re looking for a community that can help you grow, I’d love to have you in the Mom Elevated Society. It’s a space to reflect, grow, and push forward—together.

Remember, persistence is key, and no matter the challenges, you can always rise above. Let’s keep growing, learning, and embracing our unique selves.

Until next time, thanks for hanging out with me!
