Drawing a line in the sand can be tough but vital. So let’s talk boundaries: how to set them.
We’ve learned why we need boundaries in place. But HOW do you set them to begin with?
A few factors need to be considered:
- What are regular commitments in your schedule?
- What hours do you WANT to be available?
- Do you prefer to get up early or stay up late?
- What are some travel times you may need to adjust for?
- Have you allotted any “rest” or “down” time for yourself?
Answering these will help you get the bones of your boundaries laid out.

Then, you simply need to STICK to it. By that, I don’t mean rigidly and without a little flexibility.
I just mean that you need to start realizing that you can take control of some situations more and make sure you fit them into your schedule rather than squishing things in between others and making yourself frantic and stressed out.
Where are you going to start with setting your boundaries??
