Here’s your reminder: 24 hours looks different for everyone.
We all have the same 24 hours in the day.
Cue eye roll.
This statement makes me crazy. Yes, we absolutely have the same 24 hours in a day. BUT those 24 hours look VERY different for each and every one of us.
Life, obstacles, experiences, responsibilities – the list can go on for what factors contribute to how that 24 hours will be able to be spent.
That’s not saying we should use that as an excuse to not TRY. However, I do think it needs to be taken into consideration when laying out our goals.

Your timeline for success could be longer or shorter than even your best friend’s. The key here is to focus on what is happening in your life, the capacity you have before you burn yourself out, boundaries you need to keep in place, and realistic steps you can take that will keep you working towards your goals.
Basically, don’t think you have to fit a month’s worth of tasks into a day. Or wondering how so-and-so manages to do everything. We all work at our own pace. And that’s okay.
Keeping things in perspective will help you immensely. Every once in a while, look back at how far you’ve come. You only have to keep moving forward. You can switch gears, alter your path, change your goals, tweak your audience, so long as you are making progress.
Often, we measure how we’re doing by where we think we should be rather than considering exactly how far we’ve come already. For me, that usually sets me straight, puts me in a better mood, and makes me realize the work I’ve done has paid off.
Take your 24 hours and keep moving forward. 🙂
